The Tyler Salvation Army Angel Tree: 9 a.m., Hideaway Lake Golf Course. “Tee Off for Tots,” sponsored by Tyler Professional Firefighters Association. BIG SANDY The International ALERT Academy in Big Sandy will host a free banquet and concert in honor and appreciation of the service of Veterans, and public and civil servants. Everyone in the community is cordially invited to attend as well. The evening’s events will begin promptly at 6:30 P.M. with a formal banquet dinner, served by students from the ALERT Academy. During the dinner, attendees will be entertained and encouraged through song. The concert will feature several patriotic songs and spiritual anthems honoring each branch of the Armed Forces, sung by the ALERT Men’s Chorus and the ALERT Academy Choir. During the evening, there will be an inspirational patriotic presentation by our key-note speaker.
