A new series of four free Empower diabetes education sessions begins Tuesday,
Feb. 19, in Hudnall Auditorium on the UTHSCT campus, 11937 U.S. 271 in Tyler, at the corner of U.S. 271 and State Highway 155.
Learn how to manage your diabetes. Each free session is offered from 5-7 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19; Thursday, Feb. 21; Tuesday, Feb. 26; and Thursday, Feb. 28.
Topics include high and low blood sugar, meal planning, glucose monitoring, exercise and diabetes, medications and insulin administration, and foot care.
Pre-registration is required; space is limited. Deadline to register is 5 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 14. For more information or to register, call (903) 877-7569.
